Four Times The Fire

Hello and welcome back to another Forgotten Hope 2 update.

Today we have a render of a Soviet anti-aircraft gun and an announcement from the team at CMP-Gaming about their upcoming campaign. Our render is of the quadruple mount for the Maxim M1910 machinegun, the M4 ZPU.

The ZPU was designed in the early 1930s and was adopted into the role of a light anti-aircraft gun by the Soviet military. It was mounted on the back of trucks trailers, armoured trains and ships. While it soon became apparent that it was lacking in fire power, it was never truly replaced in service during the war.

The 4 Maxims are mounted onto a supporting frame, and are fitted with a hand operated forced cooling system (the tanks for which sit in between the tripod legs). Our ZPU was made by Seth Soldier.

Welcome to the very first Forgotten Hope 2 CMP Gaming Campaign. Our main objective for this campaign is to bring back the fun, teamplay and competitivity to FH2 tournament style gameplay. This is a fresh start for all of us that includes a solid infrastructure and experienced management.

8 maps that have already been proven to be balanced and bug free in the past will be played every Friday night.
From Argentan, Faid Pass, Gela , Etna Line, Hill 262 to Juin 44, Operation Nordwind, Operation Greif and Metz.

Thank you Hawk for the video

Hello and welcome back to another Forgotten Hope 2 update.

Today we have a render to show off, but first we'd like to wish all of our fans a happy new year! We'd like to thank you all for your support over the last year, and for voting for us in the ModDB 2016 MOTY competition where we received yet another honourable mention!

The M1941 82mm mortar or 82-PM-41 differed from the prewar M1937 82mm mortar in that it had the distinctive cone shaped baseplate and different bipod. This bipod allowed it to be fitted with removable wheels that greatly increased its mobility.

These differences made it less steady when firing than the older design, and as a result it was generally less accurate. An improved M1943 mortar was eventually designed which fixed this issue, but all three models continued in use together. Our PM-41 was made by Matt Baker and Roughbeak.

Hello and welcome back to another Forgotten Hope 2 update.

At first we would like to thank our community for their votes in the first round of the annual ModDB Mod of the Year

As you might know, ModDB is the largest community site for mods around the world.

Every year, the community gets to vote for their favourite mods and the winner is pronounced Mod of the Year. In 2010 FH2 won the competition and has received honourable mentions every other year since then.

Thanks you your votes so far, FH2 has once again made it into the Top 100 mods of 2016. Why not drop by and give us a vote and take a look at some of the other fantastic mods that ModDB have listed?

That's all for this week, but be sure to come back next time for another update. Until then, feel free to visit our IRC channel, our public forums, and/or our Twitter and Facebook pages to discuss this update and other news.

What Is A Campaign?
A campaign is a series of connected battles where we recreate the timeline of the war. Here at Forgotten Honor it also means teamplay and organized gameplay. Campaigns take about 8-10 weeks and every Friday night we will have one +4hour battle. All battles are counted towards the final score which determines the army that won the overall campaign.
Every army has a training server to use during the week for scouting and practice, as well as their own Teamspeak channels and locked sub-forums (we call them barracks) for communication and entertainment. Everyone can participate in all weekly activities and events as much as they want!

How To Join?
Due to our new Tournament Interface being in development, a different signup process is in effect.
Step 1 - Click in Tournament Statistics Page and choose your side in the Tropic Thunder Campaign: http://www.forgottenhonor.nl/forums/page/tournament-team-statistics
Step 2 - You now have access to the Tropic Thunder Campaign Information and your Divisonal Barracks. Choose your company and make a post introducing yourself in the respective company topic.
