Hello and welcome back to another Forgotten Hope 2 update.
Today we want to make a brief announcement about the near-term future for Forgotten Hope 2 development. As you are no doubt aware, the world is currently in a series of lock-downs and quarantines to deal with the COVID-19 outbreak. As part of this we know that many people are now stuck at home and are looking for things to fill their time with.
In light of this, we have decided to focus on an idea that has been in the back of our minds since the release of the latest WW2 themed AAA FPS games (such as Battlefield V and Call of Duty: WWII). These have been cleverly designed and balanced to allow even novice players to quickly pick-up the game and begin playing successfully - something that we have been increasingly aware that FH2 does not do very well.
Thus we are planning to make some carefully considered changes to the way that FH2 plays, taking the best ideas from what we can see out in the commercial market. We plan to start with gun-play, as we feel this is perhaps the hardest part of FH2 for new players to get to grips with. It has been a real challenge to make these changes in such a short time line, and we extend our gratitude to our new partners for helping this along smoothly. Expect to see this first update within the next week or so.
That's all for this week, but be sure to come back next time for another update. Until then, feel free to visit our Discord, our public forums, and/or our Twitter and Facebook pages to discuss this update and other news.
