Hello and welcome back to another Forgotten Hope 2 update. With the Beta Event 3 upcoming next week, we will give you now new details on the maps included : Merdorp In May 1940, as German panzer divisions advance through the Low Countries, French and British elite forces execute the Dyle-Breda maneuver, aiming to stop them from reaching France. The two armoured forces would clash near Hannut, in the network of defensive positions set in the villages such as Merdorp.
Watten Following the breakthrough in the Ardennes, German forces have reached the Channel and stopped before the final assault on the Dunkirk perimeter, bounded by the southwest by the river Aa. A strong observation post near the town of Watten forces the German soldiers to cross the river and assault the mixed French units, who are hoping to buy enough time for a decisive counterattack.
Kiswe In 1941, following the invasion of Iraq, the Allies seek to secure the flank of the Suez Canal and capture the mandates of Vichy France, supposedly neutral but aligned with the German Reich. One of the three axes of attack of Operation Exporter aims toward Damascus, but before the Allied column stands the town and heights of Kiswe, critical chokepoint defended by determined Vichyst troops.
Dubno With Operation Barbarossa underway, German tanks are dashing through eastern Poland. A strong but desorganized Soviet counterattack near the towns of Dubno and Brody is causing a lot of chaos. As the Soviets attempt to regroup and escape the imminent encirclement, both sides clash in a massive tank battle around the town of Verba.
Bir Hakeim At the southern end of the Gazala line stands Bir-Hakeim, an abandonned Turkish fort transformed into an impressive network of dug-in positions surrounded by minefields. With the Gazala Line breached, German and Italians are now throwing everything they have against the surrounded but stubborn Free French defenders. The latter are fighting an uphill battle, hoping to buy enough time for the rest of the Allied forces to regroup.
Operation Little Saturn After encircling a part of the German Army in Stalingrad but failing to eliminate the pocket, the Soviets are launching a new offensive, designed to expel the Axis forces from the area definitively. In front of them, with limited anti-tank capabilities, obsolete tanks and almost no winter gear, the entrenched Italians await the Soviet tanks under the worst conditions possible.
Sinjavino Operation Iskra in 1943 only partially lifted the siege of Leningrad. Strong German defenses are still threatening the lifeline east of the city. Repeated Soviet assaults and German counterattacks turn the area near the town of Sinjavino into a swampy, shell-torn wasterland, reminiscent of the first World War battlefields.
Operation Atlantic In July 1944, the Allies are still bogged down in Normandy. Launched simultaneously with Operation Goodwood, Operation Atlantic aims to secure the eastern flank of the town of Caen, D-Day objective still not captured. After initial successes, Canadian soldiers encounter fierce resistance in the ruined buildings of the SMN, a large metallurgical plant located East of the river Orne.
Bure During winter 1944, German units managed to reach the small town of Bure to secure their advance towards the Meuse river. Although this ultimately failed, it is now up to the British airborne and armoured forces to clear the snow-covered village of the Germans. Multiple close-quarter combats and armoured counterattacks occur, inflicting heavy casualties on both sides.
Hatten-Rittershoffen In January 1945 Operation Nordwind is causing a lot of confusion in the Allied lines in Alsace. German armoured forces are now pushing towards the villages of Hatten and Rittershoffen, surrounded by Maginot Line fortifications. For two weeks, US troops put up fierce resistance in the area, causing both sides to lose around fifty tanks each.

Hello and welcome back to another Forgotten Hope 2 update. Today we are announcing our upcoming Beta Event, that will run from: Saturday, September 26th to Sunday, October 11th Three years after the second beta event, we want to share with you our work behind the scenes. This event will includes 10 maps, 5 of which never played on public server ! Join us in this adventure going through 1940 to 1945, on the western, eastern and mediterranean fronts ! We hope to get a lot of feedback on how these maps play that can lead to their full release in a future update to FH2. Please note that the maps already played during previous events were all updated for this one. You can find the list of the battles depicted in the following map:
