Hello and welcome back to another Forgotten Hope 2 update.

Today we are showing off a new sniper rifle that will be arming the Germans, as well as a more general update to our Karabiner 98k.

The first custom designed mounting for a telescope for the K98k was a late 1939 system from Mauser. Known as the ZF 39, it consisted of a socket at the front and block at the back of the receiver that the mounts on the telescope could be quickly detached from without affecting the zeroing. Numerous telescopes were adapted to this system. Ours was made by Seth Soldier.

Also by Seth Soldier, you can see that our K98k model has received a new look. This covers the ZF 41 and the Long Side Rail sniper variants as well. Expect to see the ZF 39 take over from the LSR on most of our maps, the latter not appearing in large numbers until the second half of 1944.

Hello and welcome back to another Forgotten Hope 2 update.

Today we are showing off one of the many transport vehicles that the French depended upon during the German invasion in 1940, the Citroën Type 23 U truck.

Introduced by Citroën in 1936, the Type 23 U was light truck with a capacity of 1.5 tonnes. Sharing similar styling to the Traction Avant series of cars, it also used the engine from the 11CV. With the start of the war in 1939 the French Army would order 13000 Type 23s. With some simplification to the design such as flattened fenders, almost all of this order was delivered in 10 months.

6000 would serve with the Germans after the armistice, with production of the related L and R models continuing under occupation. It is claimed that many of these vehicles made for the Germans were subtly sabotaged by marking the fill lines on their oil dipsticks wrong. Ours was made by Seth Soldier.

Today we are showing off the first of the maps that will be featured in our upcoming version 2.6. You might recognise it from a video or two, but finally we can properly show off Flavion:

"Blitzkrieg" has become the most common term to describe German tactics in the beginning of World War 2, even though the Germans themselves never used it. One of the most famous examples of the lightning advances and combined arms warfare that characterized this stage of the war were the exploits of Rommel's 7th Panzer-Division, called the "Ghost" division due to its habit of turning up in unexpected places.

At one point not even the German high command knew Rommel's whereabouts. On the 15th of May, near the town of Flavion, the Ghost division faced heavy French tanks from 1re DCR. Even though their own armor was inferior to the enemy Char B1bis, cooperation between the different arms and better communications won the day for the Germans.
